William Scott Bruford is an English retired drummer, composer, producer, record label owner and musicologist who first gained prominence as a founding member of the progressive rock band Yes. After his departure from Yes, Bruford spent the rest of the 1970s playing in King Crimson and touring with Genesis and U.K.. Eventually he formed his own group, which was active from 1978-1980.
