Terence Patrick Winter is an American writer, film and television producer. He is the creator, writer and executive producer of the HBO Boardwalk Empire TV series. Prior to founding Boardwalk Empire, Winter was the executive writer and producer for the HBO TV series The Sopranos, from season two to Friday and the final season of the show. In 2013, he wrote the screenplay for Wolf of Wall Street by Martin Scorsese, for which he was nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay. He is also the co-creator, writer and executive producer of another HBO television series, Vinyl, which airs for one season.
